Catching up ...

First off, huge congrats to Null and Britgal. Great news!

Welcome to the blogging world, Kiy! I look forward to reading your thoughts and following your journey!

I haven't blogged much lately because there isn't a lot to say. Things continue on as normal in all areas. Life is good, work is good, all is good. When I turned 30 last summer I told myself that I spent my 20s figuring out who I was, and I intended to spend my 30s enjoying being that person. And it's turning out even better than I hoped. So far, at least. Perhaps I should knock on wood or something. ;-) So now I'm gearing up for my 31st birthday in just a few short weeks, and something tells me it'll be the start of an even better year.

Right now a part of my world is consumed with a) anticipating the final Harry Potter novel and b) trying to avoid the dipshits online who have already gotten their hands on a copy and want to ruin the fun for the rest of us. Only three more days! And if you know how it ends, DON'T TELL ME.

When the last Harry Potter book came out, someone had painted "Snape Kills Dumbledore" on their back windshield and ruined it for me. So this time I'm blacking out media and riding in cars with my eyes down. ;) My plan will work as long as I don't have to drive!

Thanks for the mention. My blog (strong word with only 1.25 posts!) is a work in progress. I will never be one of those folks who blog ever day, I'm too lazy! I have my copy of the new book pre-ordered. Trying to tell myself I do NOT need to be there at 12:01 am on the 21st. But I'm with Lythrum, living in a cocoon 'til I read it myself!

Cheers, thanks again for the welcome.

The lovely Serdic has offered to go out and get me a copy at 12:01 and save me taking the risk of being spoiled. He's such a nice boy. I stumbled across a spoiler link online today and have been very strong so far, but I don't know how long I will hold out. Once I have the book in my hot little hands I will be on complete media blackout and not leaving my apartment until it's finished. Fortunately, I'm a fast reader. :-)

Actually I might not be able to resist flipping to the back to make sure before I finish. ;) But at least then I'll ruin it for myself rather than someone else giving it away.
